For Earth Day, Noor and Michelle decided to dedicate an episode of the Food Proof podcast to how we can protect our planet—with a plant-based twist, of course! The ladies discuss some of the major reasons as to why a plant-based diet can reduce the strain we are putting on our environment. For example, did you know that more than half of the water consumed in America is for livestock? Or that over 90% of the destruction of the Amazon is a result of animal agriculture? Or that by the year 2048 we could have oceans that are completely fishless?
This episode is all about how limiting our intake and production of animal products can help to reverse the damage done. The ladies also share their preferred ways to protect the environment and challenge those listening to come up with their own way of making the Earth a little more green.
